Your rights

If you’re deaf or have hearing loss, you may not think of yourself as having a disability. But under the Equality Act 2010, you might be defined as disabled.

This means you’re legally entitled to equal access and equality of opportunity, and you’re protected against discrimination.

Fight for equality

RNID campaigns for equal access and lobbies for stronger rights. Support our campaigns to make sure everyone who is deaf or has hearing loss gets the equal treatment they’re entitled to.
