Where we are
RNID Near You is in local venues, like libraries and community centres, in towns and cities across the UK.
You’ll sometimes also find us at temporary pop-up spaces on the high street or in shopping centres.
How we can help
Our friendly teams can give you information and practical support, and tell you about other services that can help.
Many of our services are run by volunteers who are deaf or have hearing loss or tinnitus themselves.
Our services run on a drop-in basis, so you do not need an appointment to visit us.
Using your hearing aid
In some areas, we partner with NHS audiology services to provide a hearing aid support service.
We can help with:
- cleaning and looking after your hearing aid
- getting the best out of your hearing aid
- fixing problems with your hearing aid
- replacing your batteries and tubing
Checking your hearing
If you think you might have hearing loss, we can help you take our 3-minute online hearing check.
Most of our services provide noise-cancelling headphones, so you’ll get an accurate result.
We’ll explain what your result means and give you information on the next steps.
Managing your hearing loss
If you have hearing loss or tinnitus, we can answer any questions you have and give you information on living with hearing loss, including:
- assistive devices and technology that can help you hear better
- communication support options
- local audiology and support services
