Health and Safety Induction for RNID volunteers

RNID is committed to keeping everyone involved in our services safe – our staff, our volunteers and the people we support.

We have both moral and legal obligations to keep everyone safe, to promote health and safety and provide training.

The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 sets out organisations’ responsibilities to individuals that are not employees, such as volunteers and members of the public who may be affected by their work activities.

Health and safety is the responsibility of all at RNID and the aim of this training is to give you an understanding of how you can help to keep yourself, and others involved in RNID activities, safe.

In addition to this training, your staff contact will also provide any additional training or information which is specific to the role and activities you are involved in.

Please click below for training resources.

Please get in touch with your staff contact if:

  • You have any questions or need clarification around the topics covered in the training material
  • Require support to complete the training

So we know that you have successfully completed the training please click the Mandatory Training completion form. This will take less than a minute to complete.
