Technology is a big part of deaf people’s lives – it can open doors to social and cultural experiences that are otherwise inaccessible to them. Ensure your new friends can join in on watching your favourite movie – learn how to communicate about tech.

Things to remember when using BSL

- Remember to use facial expressions as well as signing with your hands – watch the videos carefully below. BSL users will read your face as well as your hands.

- Remember to face the person you’re communicating with directly, so they can see you clearly.

- Practice makes perfect. Practice BSL in front of a mirror, or with friends and family, to embed your learning.
