Why your vote matters

Elections are your chance to make sure the issues that matter to you are taken seriously by the elected people that represent you.

Elected people making decisions about education or health care may not understand what it’s like to be deaf or have hearing loss. The deaf community are also not well represented in elections, so the voices of deaf people are not being heard in politics.

Your voice matters. And voting is quick and simple.

How to vote

In the UK, you can vote in person, by post, or by proxy (someone votes for you).

You can decide what works best for you.
