RNID Connect Month 11: Sign Language Skills

This is your penultimate BSL lesson. You can see the hill’s peak. You’re so nearly there – it’s within reach!

Start exploring fuller phrases and how to put your words into phrases with this month’s lesson on Sign Language Skills.

Things to remember when using BSL

    • Remember to use facial expressions as well as signing with your hands – watch the videos carefully below. BSL users will read your face as well as your hands.

    • Remember to face the person you’re communicating with directly, so they can see you clearly.

    • Practice makes perfect. Practice BSL in front of a mirror, or with friends and family, to embed your learning.
