The power of storytelling
Everyone has a unique story to tell, and your experiences can make a significant impact on our charitable work and the wellbeing of our communities. By sharing your journey you can inspire and support others by touching on the joys in life and the challenges you face.
Your voice is powerful. By adding it to RNID’s fundraising activities and campaigns, you’ll raise awareness, drive change, and provide hope to those in need. Join us and let your story be a source of strength for others.
The kind of stories we’re looking for right now
- How using RNID Near You has helped you with your hearing aids
- How calling our Contact Centre has helped you
- Your experience of having a cochlear implant
- Your experience of talking to your GP or a member of healthcare team
- How using our hearing check has helped you
- How using our Tinnitus Guide has helped you
- A story which relates to Christmas.
“Sharing my story about how tinnitus affected me was a crucial step in my journey towards healing. By sharing my experiences, I hoped to inspire and support others struggling with the same challenges. I hope that my story brings some comfort and encouragement to others affected by tinnitus.”

Where you might see your story
Your story can help us put the spotlight on the problems our communities face, which are often complex and wide ranging. This can motivate people to take action, from funding our vital research and taking part in a fundraising event, to influencing decision makers to bring about change and inspiring others to get their hearing checked.
We share stories from our communities to help raise awareness of our cause, working with our trusted media contacts in national newspapers, magazines, TV or radio and the local press.
By sharing your story with us, we can promote it on social media or in the media (print, radio or TV), potentially reaching a huge audience. This helps highlight your experiences and the important work RNID is doing.
We have a quarterly magazine that goes out to our supporters which often includes articles from people with lived experiences.
